A Visit to Far Hills Country Day School
Words I Use When I Write
Look what I saw in their cubbies!! The first grade classes at Far Hills also use their own personal dictionaries!
Character Education
This is what one of the first grade classes was doing for character education. They had a different "bee" lesson each week and it reminds everyone how to treat each other.
Another New Teacher Friend
This is my friend Ms. Gonzalez. She is a reading specialist at Far Hills. I met her in Boston at the conference. She was working with a small group of kids in sight words and phonics. She is an incredible teacher!!!
The Mystery Swimmer is...
A rockhopper penguin swimming at the New England Aquarium!!! Here he is, just before he dove into the water for a quick dip!

This is Quincy Market, where I bought some melt-way mints with Christmas sprinkles on them for Lloyd.

The Convention Center
This is where the conference is being held. It is a VERY big place and there is also a car show going on at the same time. Mrs. Euwer and I have picked out sports cars for Christmas!

Mr. Corvino & Mr. Conard made it to Boston in record time and is enjoying the conference. We are all learning lots of good things in the workshops and from the speakers!

I found a Rockhopper! Look at his feet! They are not black. Some are pink and some are black. Some feet were pink with black spots!

The Conference Bag
This is the conference bag that each participant gets when you register. It is very nice and has lots of pockets and places for pencils and papers.
Our Hotel Room
This is the nice room that Mrs. Euwer and I are sharing. She has the heat down on 67 and I am freezing! As soon as she goes to sleep I am going to turn the heat up to 74 so I can sleep like Pengey - warm and toasty!
